Arts and crafts describes a wide variety of activities involving making things with one’s own hands. Arts and crafts is usually a hobby. Some crafts (art skills) have been practised since preshistoric times, others are more recent inventions.
Art and craft play a significant role in education, fostering creativity, self-expression, and cognitive development. In schools, including KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan), art and craft programs are essential components of the curriculum. In PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, GC CRPF Pinjore Art and Craft, students are taught various arts like folk arts, print making, still life, collage, clay modeling, landscape, mask making, portrait, paper craft etc. Apart from this, craft workshop is also available. Events are also organized from time to time in which students are given training in jewelery making, clay modelling, mask making, lip art, paper mache etc. Various painting competitions are organized in the school in which students participate with great enthusiasm
